Selections include bacon, sausage, eggs, french toast and pancakes.  For entrees, will be serving pulled pork sliders and herbed chicken breasts.  Dessert offerings include yummy cookies, chocolate brownies and the Saloon’s  famous bread pudding.  Of course, Easter would not be complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny and an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and the young-at-heart.  All of this great fun and food is just $18 for adults and $10 for children ages 4 – 10.  Kiddies under 3 are free.  Reservations are accepted but not required.  Come and join us for Easter Sunday on April 21, 2019.

I thought I would share some fun trivia about Easter.  It is a ‘movable feast’ which corresponds with the first Sunday following the full moon after the March equinox.  Most historians agree that Easter was originally a pagan festival.  However, they disagree about which pagan festival evolved into Easter. The most widely-practiced customs on Easter Sunday relate to the symbol of the rabbit (‘Easter bunny’) and the egg.   The rabbit was a symbol associated with the beginning of Springtime. Likewise, the egg has come to represent Spring, fertility and renewal.  The Encyclopedia Britannica  explains that the egg as a symbol of fertility and of renewed life goes back to the ancient Egyptians and Persians.

Whatever your Easter traditions and beliefs are, this year we hope you will join us for a celebration that everyone can enjoy!
